Sharing mutual love, understanding and co-operation are forgotten ideals in today’s materialistic world. Value education in schools and colleges can help in reforming our society and colleges can help in reforming our society and restoring our faith in humanity. Responding to this need, two-days Moral Education Training Workshop was conducted today under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi and Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab. It was organised under the able guidance of Sh. S.K.Sharma, Secreratry, APP Sabha and Director (Publications) D.AV.C.M.C, New Delhi. Around 300 teachers from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, Police DAVPS, Police Lines and DAVPS, Jagraon participated in the workshop. There existed a unique charm and an environment of excitement in the school. The Principal of the school, Mrs. J.K.Sidhu accorded a grand welcome to the guests of the day. The day started with ‘Hawan’ and recitation of ‘Mantras’.
This was followed by Lightning of the lamp and welcome song by the children. On the first day of the workshop, the resource person Dr.. Rajender Vidya Alankar, OSD, to the Governor of H.P. highlighted the role of a teacher in the present scenario. He said that more than 20 lakh students and 60 thousand teachers associated with DAV institutions all over the country are the ambassadors who will carry the message of sacrifice, dedication and Nationalism to the present generation. He urged the teachers to take all such measures as may be necessary for the upliftment of the society which is mired in false beliefs and orthodox view points. After spiritual discourse, the speaker held interactive session with the teachers wherein the teachers put forth their queries and got convincing replies. Mr. Mohan Lal Sharma, President Arya Yuva Samaj, Punjab and Principal DAV Public School, Pakhowal Rd. Ludhiana proposed a vote of thanks. The Principal of the school, Mrs. J.K.Sidhu said that such programme should be organised from time to time as they help in moral and spiritual growth of the teachers who are the path blazers of the country. The workshop concluded with the rendition of ‘Shanti Paath’.
