The Investiture Ceremony of for the academic session 2015-16 was held in a special ceremony in the school today.
Mr.Davinderjit Singh, Former Dean and Joint Director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur was the Chief Guest. He administered the oath on the newly elected Student Council to be true to their posts and duties assigned to them.

Ranpreet Singh (Class XII Non-Medical)  was elected as the Head Boy of the school,
Tanisha Mukherjee (Class XII Commerce) as the Head Girl, Ameen (Class XII Humanities) as Deputy Head Boy and Ramandeep Kaur (Class XII Non-Medical) as Deputy Head Girl.

The school Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Sports Captains and Cultural Secretaries carried their respective flags. The Chief Guest pinned up the sashes and Principal Mrs.J.K.Sidhu offered badges to each Council  member. The Head Boy and the Head Girl shared their thoughts on taking up this esteemed responsibility. The office bearers were encouraged by the motivational speech of the Chief guest. He congratulated them and advised them to carry out their duties sincerely. He said that in order to become an effective leader, convert ‘I’ into ‘We’. He urged them to carry the rich legacy of DAV to greater heights.

The Principal Mrs.J.K.Sidhu proposed a vote of thanks to the audience. She enthused the young leaders to uphold the values of the school and to keep the DAV flag flying high while discharging their duties. She said, ‘With power comes responsibility’ and advised the Council members to be role models for the other students.
