Darpan Memorial Inter School Basketball Tournament 2015-16 was organised in school today in the memory of beloved Darpan, a student of the school, who is no longer amongst us.
Six schools from Ludhiana participated in the tournament- D.A.V Public School, Pakhowal Road, B.C.M Shastri Nagar, Guru Nanak Public School, K.V.M School, Green Land Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass and D.A.V Public School, B.R.S. Nagar, Ludhiana. The officials present on the occasion were – Mr. Palvinder Singh and Mr. Malwinder Singh Grewal. There was a neck to neck competition among the teams. Winning the match seemed to be the prime motive of the players. Each player displayed utmost dedication and sincerity towards the game.

Following was the result of the match:
1 Greenland Public School (Jalandhar Bye Pass) - (Winner)
2. DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road - (Runners Up)

The Principal of the school, Mrs. J.K.Sidhu appreciated the spirit of the players and announced that this tournament will be organised every year on 19th July i.e. on Darpan’s birthday. Darpan’s parents Dr. Munish Kumar and Dr. (Mrs.) Shipra, extended their whole hearted gratitude towards the school for organizing this event in the fond memory of their son.
