8th International Yoga Day Celebration

8th International Yoga Day was celebrated with zeal at DAV Public School, BRS Nagar,Ludhiana .There was an overwhelming response from the students and the teachers of the school who attended the Yoga Camp organised in the school to commemorate the International Yoga Day keeping in mind the theme of the Yoga Day 2022- ‘Yoga for Humanity’, portraying how yoga helped humanity in reducing suffering during the COVID pandemic .
The theme also aims to highlight how even in the Post-Covid scenario, yoga can play a major role in bringing people together with compassion, kindness, building resilience among people and fostering a sense of unity.
The session began at 6:45 a.m. under the able guidance of Yoga instructor MsHarleenSona from Leenum Yoga Centre. The students and the teachers learnt and performed many different Yog Asanas in unison. They were also made aware of the many physical, mental and spiritual benefits of practicing yoga. Everyone present took a pledge in the end to imbibe the habit of practicing yoga daily in their life.
Principal J.K. Sidhu in her address highlighted the importance of yoga and exhorted the participants to include yoga in their day to day life to keep diseases at bay and remain fit and energetic in their lives.
