Baisakhi Celebrations by UKG and Class I students

Baisakhi is also known as ‘Vaisakhi’. It is celebrated every year on April 13. This day marks the beginning of New Year. For the farmers, it is the first day of Baisakh season when all their hard work pays off. They thank God on this day and gather around to celebrate the harvest.
UKG students celebrated Baisakhi through virtual mode. They were shown PPTs and videos on Baisakhi and prepared an activity sheet with the help of their parents, following the instructions of the teacher virtually. They tapped their little feet on bhangra beats as well. Students enjoyed Baisakhi celebration a lot.
Baisakhi was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of class I. Students were shown a PPT and made aware of importance of this auspicious festival. They also coloured Baisakhi sheets . All the students enjoyed dancing on Bhangra beats along with their teachers and had a lot of fun.
