DAV Public School, BRS Nagar Ludhiana celebrated Vanmahotsav- the festival of trees from July 6, 2020 to July 12, 2020. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of celebration was to form a personal connection between the students and the trees through experience, reflection and creation, carried out through various activities.
Though locked in their houses, our environment warriors decided to celebrate the Vanmahotsav week by planting saplings, making soil- airum, poem recitation, slogan writing, essay writing and poster making. They spread the message that the green planet they live in must be protected and cared for. Around 1500 children from classes 3 to 7 participated with great enthusiasm. Van mahotsav week came up to be a great success. The trees planted by our young environment warriors today will serve as a beautiful memory.
