Grand Parents render unconditional support to their grandchildren and are the pillars of strength for them who nurture them with love to discipline them and prepare them for life.
‘Grand Parents’ Day is the day to bow our heads in reverence to our mentors and the students of U.K.G. gave befitting tribute to their grand parents to show their love and reverence for them.
The function started with Ganesh Vandana to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha known for his reverence for his parents. The Shabad rendition by the tiny –tots evoked blessings from the Almighty. Folk dances were presented to present unity in diversity.
Yoga performance under the ‘Fit India Movement’ launched by our worthy Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi gave the message of physical fitness by following the simple yoga exercises. The CRPF jawans were given a befitting tribute who lost their lives in Pulwama attack.
Road Safety by following the traffic norms was the message given through the choreography on traffic. The program came to close with Punjabi Folk Dance presented by tiny gabrus and mutiyars.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu lauded the efforts put in by the young children and their teachers and the grand parents, who are always there to lend their shoulders to lean on. In her address she exhorted the grand parents to be there on the side to cultivate the right value system in them and make them responsible citizens of the country.
