Janamashtami was celebrated with gaiety and fervor by the Primary and Pre-Primary wing of school. Students donned the roles of Lord Krishna and Gopikas and many other characters related to Janamashtami. The event began with the prayer invoking the blessings of Lord Krishna. There after students danced to the tunes of Krishna Bhajans. The enactment of scenes from Lord Krishna’s life by the students left the audience spell bound. Devotional Songs sung by the tiny tots compelled one and all present on the occasion to sing along. Apart from this the tiny tots made crowns and by enjoyed coloring the assignments on the life of Lord Krishna. Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu in her address spoke about the significance of Janamashtami which marks the freedom from evil. She also reminded the students about Lord Krishna’s devotion and obedience to his master and encouraged the little ones to follow the righteous path in their lives.
