1st Ramanujan Maths Fest 2018-19 Projects Creativity

DAV Public School, B.R.S Nagar today organised first Ramanujan Maths fest for the D.A.V institutions of the city. Competitions were held for model making, power point presentation, role play, rubik's cube and mathematical quiz.
The students of D.A.V Public School, Pakhowal road, Police D.A.V School, Civil Lines and the host school competed in all the categories. Kirandeep Singh Tiwana, National Awardee 2018 was the guest of honour, where as Avninderpreet Singh, Assistant Professor of Malwa
Central College, Gursharan Kaur and Amita of Guru Nanak International Public School judged the various competitions. The judges appreciated the creativity and innovative ideas and use of material done by the students. In quiz round, the participants surprised one and all with their knowledge and promptness to answer.

Principal J.K. Sidhu in her address encouraged the students to play with numbers instead of treating mathematics as a phobia. Talking about day to day usage of mathematical formulas she asked the students to apply the subject in their day to day lives to be well versed with the subject and use the mathematical skills to solve the problems of life skillfully. She thanked all the guests for sparing time out of their busy schedules to inspire and motivate the participants and judge their efforts.
