Punjab Energy Development Authority is working hard to create awareness about ways and means of conserving energy. In its bid to create awareness amongst the generation next a State Level quiz contest was organised by PEDA in collaboration with Design2Occupancy Services LLP at DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana where 16 teams came from all over Punjab to participate in the competition.

The participants had to take a written test for eligibility and this was the elimination round. 6 top scoring teams from Doraha Public School, Doraha, BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana, DAV Public School Lawrence Road, Amritsar, DAV Public Sr. Sec. School, Bathinda and two teams from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana were selected to participate in the oral quiz. Shivam Gaur and Anoop Sharda, the quiz masters conducted the quiz most efficiently drawing out the best from the students. Anupam Nanda, Sr. Manager, PEDA and Manoj Ahi a partner in Prima Technologies were the dignitaries present on the campus for smooth conduct of the event and motivate the students. It was really a treat for all to see such enlightened minds on the stage competing with each other for top positions. The preparedness of the students gave the hope that with such an aware generation next we are going to utilize our resources effectively and minimize use of non-renewable resources of energy for a better tomorrow.

Principal J.K. Sidhu thanked PEDA and Design2Occupancy Services LLP for conducting the quiz and giving an opportunity to the youngsters to show their knowledge and preparedness for energy conservation. While giving away the prizes to the winners Principal J.K. Sidhu along with the officials appreciated the quickness of the students in giving responses.
