Teej is the traditional festival of monsoon season of Punjab. The ladies and girls dress in their fineries to celebrate this festival. The campus today was abuzz with activity as the students came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses and participated in Henna application, Paranda braiding and Miss Teej competition vying for the top positions.

Mrs. Neha Puri and Mrs. Neelu Sharma were the judges of the competitions and the girls surprised the judges and the audience with their knowledge about the Punjabi culture in the question answer round of Miss Teej Competition.

The intricate designs of Mehandi with deft hands won appreciation of all. The dance performances to the tune of dhol were the icing on the cake where the students displayed their elation. Students of the kindergarten and primary wing relished the delicious kheer that was served to them by school. 

The judges had a tough time to select the winners amongst the participants owing to their skill and knowledge. The result of the competitions was as under.

Miss Teej                       :-             Chahat Grewal – 1^st  , Noor and Navneet – 2^nd , Gurnoor – 3^rd

Mehandi Application      :-             Navya Talwar – 1^st , Samridhi – 2^nd and Gunn – 3^rd

Paranda Braiding          :-             Gorika – 1^st, Jasmit – 2^nd and Jiya – 3^rd

The winners exuded joy while receiving the prizes from the hands of the judges who applauded the efforts made by the school in preserving our rich culture.

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu expressed her heart-felt thanks to the judges for taking time out of their busy schedules to judge the competitions. In her address she told the students that it is important to stay connected to the roots for optimum growth and keeping the culture alive. She congratulated all the participants and the winners for putting up a wonderful show.
