DAVBRS Nagar hosts Two Days Capacity Building Workshop for Senior Secondary Teachers

A Two Days Capacity Building Programme was organised under the aegis of DAV Centre of Academic Excellence, DAV College Managing Committee in DAV BRS Nagar on 9th and 10th July for Senior Secondary Classes in the subject of Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. 54 teachers from various DAV schools across the region attended the same.
The workshop began with planting of a sapling spreading the message of ‘each one plant one’. The resource persons for chemistry were Dr. Anu Verma (Principal ,Police DAV Ludhiana) and Mr. Swaranpreet from host school. For physics Sh. Vinod Kumar Rana (Principal DAV School, Kot – Isse Khan) and Mr. Ashish Kapoor from host school. For Biology Mrs. Seema Sharma (Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar) and Mrs. Vimmy Goel from host school and for Maths Mrs. Tajinder Kaur from host school.
All the resource persons discussed important areas like ‘competitive exams’, ‘latest exam patterns’, ‘common errors done by the students’, ‘analysis of XII board paper’. They also stressed on new engaging techniques of teaching. They also emphasized on giving detailed knowledge of the subject to the students for their all-round development. The resource persons conducted many interesting activities in which delegates participated whole heartedly.
The Principal cum ARD Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the resource persons and delegates and hopped that these in service training workshops will equip the teachers to deal with the learners in a better way.
