School hosts Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Volley-Ball Tournament U-19 (Girls and Boys)

Ludhiana Sahodya School Complex Volley-Ball Tournament U-19 (Girls and Boys) was organised in DAV Public School BRS Nagar, Ludhiana on 17-11-17 and 18-11-17. In this two day event, 14 teams of boys and 10 teams of girls from various schools of Ludhiana participated with great zeal. On the opening day, the Principal of the school Mrs. J.K. Sidhu declared the tournament open and welcomed the participating teams. While addressing the players, the Principal boosted their morale and urged them to display a fine sense of sportsmanship.
In the first round, the girls of DAV BRS Nagar, BCM Chandigarh Road, DCM Presidency and Spring Dale Sr. Sec. School and the boys of DAV BRS Nagar, BVM Kitchlu Nagar, St. Thomas Sr. Sec. School and Police DAV Public School made it to the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finalists drew hearty applause from the crowd, a befitting appreciation for their strenuous efforts. In the final round, the girls of DAV BRS Nagar and Spring Dale Sr. Sec. School and the boys of DAV BRS Nagar and Police DAV Public School gave neck-to-neck challenge to their rivals. Every player tried to excel and carve a niche for the self and the institution. As the spectators' cheers rent the air, the players, with grit and determination, performed to their best to achieve victory.
Mr. Sukhpal Singh Brar (Arjun Awardee) ADCP Ludhiana was the Chief Guest on the concluding day. He stressed upon the need to organize such events from time to time as it will help in shaping the future sports persons. The final results of the tournament are as under:

The Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu appreciated the efforts of the players and congratulated the winners. She exhorted them to further work hard and bring laurels for their institutions.
