DAV National Sports Cluster Level Table Tennis Tournament (U-19 Boys and Girls) was held in DAV Public School , B.R.S. Nagar, Ludhiana on 13-10-17 . The event looked like a grand celebration where motive was to boost sports culture among the students. Mr. Paramjit Singh , the official to DAV National Sports cluster level Table Tennis Tournament (U-19 Boys and Girls), who was the chief coach in BSNL and twice officiated Asian Games and Common Wealth Games as well as several national level tournaments , was present on the occasion. Total seven teams( Five of boys and Two of girls) from DAV Schools of Jalandhar, Khanna, Jagraon, Talwara and the host school participated in the tournament. The participants who preformed with  great zeal and a sense of healthy competition made everyone witness a great sporting event. The tournament was a fine show of sportsmanship where every participant tried to excel and carve a niche for the self. The scintillating performance of the players kept the spectators spell-bound. Winning the event seemed to be a question of life and death for the players who gave neck to neck challenge to their rivals. The following are the results of the matches:

Boys:          

1. DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana                   -        First                                        
2. DAV Model School, Khanna                                       -        Second

Girls:          

1. DAV Public School BRS Nagar, Ludhiana    -        First
2. Police DAV School, Jalandhar                    -        Second                                            

The trophies and medals were presented to the winners and the runners-up by Mr. S.S. Johl (Vice-Chairman). In his message, he lauded the efforts of the players & assured that DAV would continue its efforts in shaping excellent    sport persons. School Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked one and all and appreciated the efforts of the teams.
