Snap Homework was first introduced in California America and was brought to India by Mrs. Garima Kapila a maths teacher of Carmel Convent School, Delhi. Mrs. Garima contacted Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu during summer break and apprised her of the various benefits of the app and seeing its practical utility, Principal Mrs. Sidhu invited her to deliver a demo lecture to the teaching faculty of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar on 11th July, 2016.
Snap Homework is an extension of Classroom as it facilitates communicating homework, worksheets, circulars etc. with merely a click of a button. The teachers can send the class work using the app by merely clicking the picture of the blackboard. Not only this the school authorities can keep themselves updated of all classroom activities at backend to facilitate teaching learning process to connect teachers, administration and parents with the use of Android and Iphone.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu, while talking about the various functions of the app reminded about the CBSE Guidelines that restricts use of mobile phones by the teachers in the classrooms and added that logbooks will be maintained by Snap Homework support teachers who will have prior information about the use of the mobile phone in a particular class. She strongly approved of this app for being environment friendly as it checks firstly ruthless cutting of trees for paper and secondly limits use of chemicals and inks. This app was introduced to DAV Pakhowal Road School and Police DAV Civil lines on the initiative of Mrs. J.K. Sidhu, who herself is gizmo savvy and doesn’t hesitate in using the same for the benefits of her staff and students.
