To take a walk down the memory lane of nostalgia, the First Alumni Meet – ‘Home Coming’ was organized in school today in the school auditorium.
The occasion was graced by more than 100 alumni and their spouses ranging across various batches before 2010 from various parts of the country and outside the country as well. Padam Bhushan Dr. S.S. Johl – Chancellor of Central University and vice chairman of LMC , Founder former Principal of the school Sh. R.S. Patial and retired teachers of the school were the guests of the day. The meet was also attended by the senior staff members of the school .
The programme started with an invocation to God followed by melodious songs and beautiful dances by the school children. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates and teachers. The ambience was electric with people seen chatting in groups. The campus witnessed active involvement of the alumni and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up for further strengthening the link between the school and the students. Most of the event was carried out as an informal interaction over tea and lunch. The alumni were in awe of the infrastructural changes in the school. They reminisced about the good old days and fondly remembered their classroom memories and teachers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the school Mrs. J.K. Sidhu underlined and praised the achievements of alumni of the school in all walks of life. She felt that it was a matter of great pride for the institution that its alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various organisations. The event ended with emotional farewell to each other and promises by one and all to remain in touch. They decided to make it an annual feature and meet atleast once in a year in the school where they had spent their formative years.
