‘The happiest people are those who lose themselves in the service of others.’
Little acts of social service and understanding human values can bring about a positive social change. To commemorate the martyrdom day of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the school organised a ‘Chabeel’, as a part of its Social Outreach Programme, to soothe the parched souls with sweet and cold water on a hot summer day. Staff and the students of the school distributed the sweet cool drink with avidity and fervour.
Students thronged the Chabeel venue and heartily relished glasses full of chabeel – sweetened water. Apart from students, teaching and non-teaching staff members and even the passers by quenched their thirst with the chabeel in the scorching hot weather.
Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu appreciated the efforts of all those who were involved in organising the chabeel. She further motivated everyone to continue with such noble acts of serving the society that provide immense pleasure to both the doer and the receiver.
