D.A.V Public School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Ludhiana has taken an initiative by being a part of the campaign against the use of China string by Punjab Police,Ludhiana. The campaign, launched under the leadership of Punjab Police Ludhiana Commissioner Sardar Mandeep Singh Sidhu, aims to make public aware of the problems faced by animals, birds and humans by using China string.
Taking the first step in this direction, school students of class I to class XII and their parents took a pledge that they will not use Chinese string(dor) and will further spread awareness amongst others.
School being closed due to intense cold, all this work was done online and everyone associated with this campaign digitally signed the pledge. Besides this, the video released by Punjab Police Ludhiana was also shared with all the students. They were also advised to share the same further with more and more people.
Principal J.K. Sidhu appreciated the efforts of Punjab Police Ludhiana. She said that joint efforts of government and educational institutions can only make people conscientious. She appealed the students, parents as well as the residents of the city to save the lives of the innocent creatures by saying no to Chinese string and also contribute to the protection of the environment.
