STEM District Level Deliberations

School successfully hosted the STEM District Level Deliberations – Workshop as the Lead School under the guidance of CBSE. The event was graced by Ms. Harmeet Kaur Waraich, City Co-ordinator and Principal, NSPS, and Dr. Vandana Shahi, DTC and Principal, BCM School, Basant Avenue, who presided over as the Guests of Honour, inspiring and encouraging all the participants with their presence.
The workshop featured 12 paper presentations by teachers from various CBSE schools of the district. These presentations highlighted innovative and effective STEM practices aligned with the following CBSE themes:
1. Experiential Learning through Motivated STEM Teachers
2. Fostering Interest in STEM/Skill-Based Subjects, AI, Design Thinking, Coding, Robotics, Mathematics, and Science Projects
3. Hands-on, Practical STEM Learning
4. Enhancing 21st Century Skills and STEM Competencies
Each teacher was given 20 minutes to present the paper, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session that facilitated insightful discussions and engaging peer learning.
The Appreciation Committee, comprising of Dr. Rajveer Singh Kang (Principal, DAV Public School, Kotkapura), Ms. Bandana Sethi (Principal, Atam Public School), Ludhiana and Dr. Amarjot Kaur Randhawa (Assistant Professor, Physics, GNDEC), Ludhiana assessed the presentations as per the pre-defined rubrics supplied by CBSE.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu expressed her pride in the role of the school as a hub for academic innovation and collaboration. She lauded the efforts of participating educators and stated that such platforms not only promote excellence in pedagogy but also cultivate an environment for peer learning, a spirit of inquiry, creativity, and professional growth.
