A dynamic and enriching three-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP), organized under the aegis of the DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, concluded successfully at DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 220 teachers from various DAV institutions and principals from schools across PB Zone-F attending as observers and offering valuable insights throughout the sessions.
The training was conducted for teachers of English, Mathematics, Physics ,Political Science, Music, Dance, Nursery and EEDP-1. It was designed to promote innovative teaching methodologies aimed at transforming traditional classrooms into inclusive, student-centered spaces. Over the three days, educators were actively engaged in a variety of hands-on activities such as role plays, storytelling, group discussions, and brainstorming sessions that promoted collaborative learning and professional exchange.
The first day set the tone with experiential teaching strategies that emphasized learning through play, stories, and meaningful interactions, especially for foundational level educators. Subject-specific workshops enabled teachers to revisit core concepts and explore creative instructional techniques to spark curiosity among students.
The second day deepened the pedagogical focus by highlighting the integration of real-life applications, project-based learning, and strategies to address diverse learning needs. Teachers explored ways to foster critical thinking, creativity, and inclusivity in their classrooms. Emphasis was placed on framing competency-based questions and understanding assessment rubrics aligned with NEP 2020. Participants enthusiastically contributed their ideas, collaborated in group tasks, and gained exposure to a broad spectrum of teaching strategies.
On the final day, the energy and enthusiasm continued as teachers showcased their learning through presentations, shared best practices, and reflected on classroom implementation strategies. The sessions encouraged educators to make learning more interdisciplinary, interactive, and value-based, using storytelling, technology, and real-world connections. Discussions around Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) and goal-oriented planning further empowered teachers to improve academic delivery in their respective institutions.
