A healthy mind lives in a healthy body and if we get used of balanced diet at a young age we keep diseases at bay.
Keeping this in mind, the school invited Dietician Bhavya, alumna of the school to deliver an insightful talk on ‘Childhood Obesity and Healthy Eating Habits’.
Bhavya has masters degree in Food and Nutrition and is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)and a Sports Nutritionist (CSN). She possesses FODMAP Specialisation from MONASH University, Australia.
She is highly sought after dietitian who is providing personalized diet and exercise consultations to the clients and patients worldwide.
Ms. Bhavya delivered an informative lecture to the students of class VI highlighting the significance of healthy diet for a fit and active body. In her lecture, she stressed on the importance of breakfast and drawbacks of junk food. She motivated the students to bring variations in diet by sacrificing taste at times to lead fuller lives. The quiz conducted by the expert made the session interesting and interactive. The queries of the students and the staff were handled effectively by her.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the guest and motivated the students to follow the advice of the expert and make healthy diet a choice to stay fit and enjoy life to the fullest.
