'No Bag Day' for class VIII

The school observed No Bag Day for the students of class VIII. Children were full of excitement and happiness to enjoy this new experience. A variety of co-curricular activities were organized to engage children productively and involve them in practical and experiential learning. Students participated in fun filled activities like Dumb Charades, Mono Acting, Talent Hunt, Creative Writing, Crossword Puzzles, Board games, Quiz, Discussion on G-20, Art and Craft and Dance to name a few.
The objective was to involve the students in activities beyond their textbooks. It helped in creating happy and joyful classrooms with great learning experiences.
Students depicted India's G20 Presidency under the theme of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which means ‘One Earth, One Family.’ They were divided into different groups under G20 like Business 20, Civil 20, Labour 20, Parliament 20, Science 20, SAI 20, Startup 20, Tech 20, Think 20, Urban 20, Women 20, and Youth 20 where they gave their suggestions and inputs in pursuit of a better world.
Indigenous games of Punjab and Orissa like Kho-Kho, Hop -Scotch, Rope Skipping and ‘Geete’ played by the students made them experience the games of Punjab and the partner state to find out similarities in culture of the two states.
All these activities were arranged for the students with the purpose of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, while exposing students to various skills of head, hand and heart.
Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu said that it will help to unleash another dimension of the students’ personality and divert their energy to diverse genres.
