'No Bag Day' for Class VII

Students of Class VII had an enjoyable ‘No Bag Day.’ A variety of co-curricular activities were organized to engage children productively and involve them in practical and experiential learning. Students participated in fun filled activities like Dumb Charades, Mono Acting, Talent Hunt, Creative Writing, Crossword Puzzles, Board games, Quiz, Art and Craft and Dance to name a few.
The objective was to involve the students in activities beyond their textbooks. It helped in creating happy and joyful classrooms with great learning experiences.Indigenous games of Punjab and Orissa like Kho-Kho, Hop -Scotch, Rope Skipping and ‘Geete’ played by the students made them experience the games of Punjab and the partner state to find out similarities in culture of the two states.
All these activities were arranged for the students in order to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, while exposing students to various skills of head, hand and heart. Overall, it was a funfilled day which allowed the students to unwind and tap their creative side.
Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu said that it will help to unleash another dimension of the students’ personality and divert their energy to diverse genres.
