School organised 'Suraksha Bandhan' program in collaboration with Traffic Police Ludhiana and NGO 'Safe Drive Stay Alive' for the students of classes X and XI keeping in mind SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities.'
The key note speakers of the day were ACP Charanjiv Lamba PPS ACP Traffic-1, Naval Kishore Kaura 'Safe Drive and Stay Alive' NGO,
Jasvir Singh Head Constable Traffic Education Cell, Onkar Singh Sub Inspector Traffic Zone -3.
The seminar aimed at creating awareness amongst the youth about the importance of safe driving practices, obeying of traffic rules etc.
Mr. Jasvir Singh talked about the causes of road accidents i.e.gross negligence of the traffic rules and regulations, rash driving etc. A video on traffic rules, traffic signals, symbols and their meanings, blind spot etc. was shown to spread the message of road safety.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the esteemed guests for sparing their valuable time to spread awareness among the students regarding road safety measures which would help them to keep themselves and others safe. She also talked about the need to form a 'Road Safety Club' to provide the students with first hand learning experience.
