A blood donation camp was organised in school to commemorate 140th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami ji with the efforts of Arya Yuva Dal and the Student Council of the school. The camp was organised as part of society outreach program in collaboration with Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana under the supervision of Dr. Amarjit Kaur, HOD (Blood transfusion dept). Mr. Yogesh Soni Ji and Mr. Rakesh Jain Ji, members of the school Local Managing Committee were also present.
Parents of the students of the school, teaching as well as non-teaching staff members of the school came forward for this noble cause. Principal of the school, Mrs JK Sidhu took the lead by donating blood in the very first slot. Approximately 100 units of blood were collected in this camp.
Dr. Amarjeet Kaur highlighted the benefits of blood donation that can give a gift of life to many. She urged everyone present there to spread the message of this noble act and coax all healthy donors to contribute towards the community by donating blood for the needy patients.
Principal Mrs. J.K Sidhu expressed her gratitude to Mr. Sandeep Puri, Principal DMC &H , Dr. Amarjeet Kaur and her team of doctors for their support and smooth conduct of the camp. She also heartily thanked all the volunteers who came up to contribute for this noble cause.
