The Milk Bag Project
Eco Club, DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana in collaboration with Ludhiana Cares Ladies Society, a registered NGO is going to collect rinsed, dried and nicely wrapped used milk bags for sending these to the recycling units.
All the residents of Ludhiana who buy milk bags daily can participate in 'The Milk Bag project' and can contribute in making Ludhiana cleaner.
Why Milk Bags?
Unlike paper, cardboard, PET bottles and hard plastic which have a resale value and are given to the local recycler, milk bags are simply sent mixed with wet waste to the landfill and they end up in our water bodies and eventually in body systems of humans and animals alike, or are burnt causing immense harm to the environment.
We all talk of our environment and the need to save it.

Online Survey to know the number of families (parents and school staff) using milk bags on daily basis.

Schedule of weekly collection of bags.
PROCESS

On weekly basis used milk bags will be collected in the school.

Students will bring the bags as demonstrated in the video and will put these in the drop box.

Student and/or parent leaders and teachers will monitor the process.
