Janamashtmi & Independence Day Celebrations
Event Start Date : 14/08/2025 Event End Date 14/08/2025

School came alive with colour, fragrance, and festivity on the morning of August 14 as it celebrated two momentous occasions — the divine festival of Janmashtami and the proud observance of Independence Day. The campus, adorned with marigold garlands and scented with incense, reflected a perfect blend of spiritual devotion and patriotic fervour.
The celebrations began with a serene Janmashtami Puja. Sacred chants, the glow of diyas, and the vibrant rustle of silks recreated a scene reminiscent of the Bhagavad Purana, immersing everyone in devotion. The transition from the spiritual to the patriotic was seamless, as the gathering rose in unison for the National Anthem, pledging respect and commitment to the tricolour.
The cultural programme opened with a heartfelt speech that went beyond historical facts, reminding all that freedom is not merely a gift from the past but a responsibility for the present and future. A melodious patriotic song and a soul-stirring poem painted vivid imagery of saffron sunrise, white clouds of peace, and green fields of hope — the ideals symbolised by the national flag.
An engaging presentation followed, offering fascinating insights into Indian currency denominations and the UNESCO heritage sites that grace them, weaving together the nation’s history, culture, and economic identity.
The stage then came alive with vibrant performances — a graceful Janmashtami dance depicting Krishna’s leelas transported the audience to the banks of the Yamuna, while an energetic patriotic dance celebrated the indomitable spirit of India. Loud applause and joyful cheers filled the air, marking the success of the celebration.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu appreciated the students for presenting a programme that harmoniously intertwined devotion with patriotism. She remarked that such celebrations not only preserve our cultural and spiritual heritage but also instil values of unity, respect, and responsibility towards the nation. She urged the students to carry forward the spirit of Krishna’s teachings and the ideals of freedom in their daily lives.
