Traffic Rules Awareness Program by the Vidhya Prayas NGO was organized in school today. The main aim of the program was to generate awareness about traffic rules and regulations among the students and make them law abiding citizens.
The speaker of the day, Head Constable Jasbir Singh gave a quick revision of the rules of the road to all the students and then shared the facts about the precious lives lost on the roads due to negligence or hurry which turns fatal for many. Addressing to the young students, he explained about the need of awareness among the students and role they can play in reducing the number of accidents caused on roads. ASI Avtar Singh ji, ACP Zonal area and Police Commissioner were also present during the program. Students got the opportunity to learn the set of rules that are mandatory for driving any vehicle.
Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu in her address talked about the programmes of the school to create awareness among the students and the staff for wearing helmet and sticking to the speed limits for safety of self and others.
