Rishi Bodh Utsav to commemorate Swami Dayanand Ji's 200th Birth Anniversary

School celebrated Rishi Bodh Utsav to commemorate Swami Dayanand ji's 200th birth anniversary with great verve and zeal. The school building was decked up with ‘Om’ flags and was illuminated. Besides flexes of Swami Dayanand ji were displayed all across the city.
A special Vedic Havan was performed to mark the occasion. Recitation of melodious bhajans created a pious and serene atmosphere on the school premises.
The day is celebrated to propagate Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings and to pay a tribute to this legendary reformer and leader whose contribution in the field of education is remarkable. He also worked against social evils such as caste discrimination and supported women empowerment and widow re-marriage. He was the first one to use the term “Swaraj” and initiated the freedom struggle.
