DAV BRS Nagar organises ‘Literature Conclave 2022’with Grandeur

School organized ‘Literature Conclave 2022’- Ludhiana Chapter to create awareness about the pursuit of literature and literary studies in the young minds. Padam Bhushan Dr. S. S. Johl presided over the event wherein renowned litterateurs: Sh. Surjit Patar, Sh. Swaranjeet Savi, Sh. Faqir Chand Shukla, Shri Gurshaminder Singh Jagpal, Dr. Mrs. Nirottama Sharma, Dr. Mrs. Sumedha Bhandari of various languages were the distinguished guests of honour and also the panelists of the event who shared their experiences with literature and the world of books and words. Apart from these luminaries, principals of various DAV institutions and Sh. Ravikant Gupta, member, School LMC also graced the occasion.
The event began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by Saraswati Vandana and welcome address by Principal J. K. Sidhu. The historic day witnessed recitation of poetry by the students, energizing rendition of folk song, presentation of 'Nritya Natika', panel- discussion on the topic - 'Writing as a career and management of time and passion' and question-answer session.
The prime attraction of the day was unveiling of literary compendiums of DAV BRS Nagar and other schools of PB-Zone F. These books are a collection of literary works of school students comprising of articles, poems, short stories etc. of all the three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi.
The Chief Guest, in his speech urged the students to widen their horizon to meet the challenges of the present day world. There after he thanked all the distinguished guests of the day whose presence and interaction with the students would be cherished by one and all associated with the campus. He also congratulated Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu and her team for the success and smooth conduct of the event.
Principal Mrs. J. K. Sidhu expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries for gracing the event and for their words of wisdom. She also thanked all the media personnel for their presence throughout the event.
