DAV BRS Nagar Commemorates Swami Shraddhanand’s Balidan Diwas

School commemorated Balidan Diwas of Swami Shraddhanand, who was an Indian Independence activist and an Arya Samaj sanyasi who propagated the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The programme began with the recitation of Gayatri Mantra folllowed by melodious bhajans sung by the students of classes III to V made the audience spellbound. Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Sanskrit teacher gave an account of teachings and preachings of Swamiji. A ppt. based on the life of Swami Ji showcased the important aspects of his life. It emphasised the various missions and teachings he wanted to impart to the citizens.

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu encouraged the students by saying them to be determined and focussed to achieve the desired goals. She also directed them to become responsible citizens by imbibing the teachings of Swami Ji and other great men in life.
