DAVian Jasmeek Sekhon Paves her Way to US Via Cycling Championship

Jasmeek Sekhon, a student of XI Humanities of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana has scripted history by qualifying for Roam Race Cycling Championship to be held in the US in 2022.
Jasmeek Sekhon bagged Gold Medal in Punjab State Championship 10 KM, Road Cycling Race Championship held at Patiala on 23 October 2021.
Jasmeek and her team titled ‘Fateh’ with four members had the deadline to complete 600 kilometers of cycling within 26 hours to qualify for the Roam Race Cycling Championship scheduled for next year. The group however completed it in 19 hours on 10th October 2021. They started their cycling journey from Una (H.P.) and paddled their way through Pathankot, Batala, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and back to Una to cover the distance of 600 kilometers. It has been a remarkable feat for the young cycling enthusiasts to bring name and fame to their selves, families and alma mater.
Principal J.K. Sidhu congratulated Jasmeek Sekhon and her parents and wished for her sparkling performance in the Roam Race Cycling Championship to be held in the US and bring international acclaim to the institution.
