Baisakhi Celebrations by PreKG, LKG and Class II students

Baisakhi is an important harvest festival of Punjab that has religious value as well. The motive of this virtual celebration is to apprise the students of their rich culture and heritage.
In an effort to take the kids closer to their roots and realise the importance of festivals in their life, Pre-KG students celebrated Baisakhi with fervour & gaiety. Main attractions of the day that our tiny-tots danced on the punjabi songs & they made wheat stalk in the form of craft work. Students were shown PPT and videos on harvesting of wheat. All the parents have shown great enthusiasm to participate with their kids.
LKG Students celebrated Basakhi through virtual mode.
Events of the day were dance on dhol beat, Colouring of Baisakhi Assignment. Students enjoyed dance and coloured the given worksheets with great enthusiasm and fun.
Students of class II celebrated Baisakhi through role play activity in a special Zoom class. Children explained the importance of the festival by showcasing the Punjabi Culture. Dhol beats and Punjabi folk music added to the excitement. Children were dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional attires. The motive behind the celebration was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage. They participated in this activity enthusiastically. They shared their creativity by speaking importance of festival and Punjabi Culture. The way they expressed confidence was really worth noticing.
