DAV BRS Nagar commemorated Balidan Diwas of Swami Shraddhanand Ji, an Indian Independence activist and an Arya Samaj sanyasi who propagated the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.  On this occasion students were acquainted with his preachings and ten principles of Arya Samaj. Students from classes 7^th to 9^th presented melodious Vedic bhajans and recited poem to mark the occasion. A PPT based on the life of Swami Ji showcased the important aspects of his life. It emphasised the various missions and teachings he wanted to impart to the citizens.

Principal J.K.Sidhu in her address to the students highlighted the contribution of Swamiji towards Arya Samaj and urged them to follow his preachings in their lives in letter and spirit.
