School hosts DAV National Sports Handball Tournament (Cluster Level) for Boys and Girls

Aiming at overall development of its students DAVCMC, New Delhi organises DAV National Sports every year. Cluster Level Handball Tournament for Boys and Girls was held in our school on 15th October in which 8 teams from Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Phillaur participated.

All the teams had a tough time competing with one another to come out victorious. The result of the tournament is as under:-

Girls:-

Winner:- D.A.V. Public School , B.R.S. Nagar, Ludhiana
Runners up :- D.A.V Centenary Public School, Phillaur

Boys:-
Winner:- Police D.A.V. Public School, Jalandhar
Runners up:- D.A.V. Public School, B.R.S. Nagar, Ludhiana

Mr. Ajay Singhania , Cluster Head- Vice President, HDFC Bank was the Chief Guest of Prize Distribution Ceremony. The exuberance and the energy of the winners and the runners up was worth applauding .

The Chief Guest appreciated the sportsmanship of the teams. He in his speech stressed on physical fitness and emphasized on participation in sporting events to ensure good health and agility.

Principal Mrs. J.K.Sidhu congratulated the winners and appreciated the enthusiasm of the teams who contributed in the success of the event. She exhorted the participating teams to carry the message of fair game irrespective of the result.
