Keeping in mind the ideals of Arya Samaj that need to be inculcated amongst the youngsters,’ Ved Prachar Saptah’ was observed at DAV BRS Nagar from 26th August to 31st August, 2019 under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab.

In Consonance with Indian Tradition, the programme began with the formal lamp lighting ceremony by Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu. The concluding day was graced by Secretary of DAVCMC, New Delhi, Arvind Ghai Ji as the Chief Guest along with his wife and the Guest of Honour, Captain Vijay Syal Ji. Apart from them, many other dignitaries like Virender Mittal Ji (President, Prerna Peeth), Roshan Lal Arya Ji (Regional Secretary, Ved Prachar Mandal), Rakesh Jain Ji and Principals from various DAV Schools across the region also attended the programme.

Each day during the week long celebrations, Dainik Yajna was performed followed by recitation of Bhajans with the aim of apprising the students with our Vedas and moral values that guide our lives. The purpose behind the week long ‘Ved Prachar Saptah’ was a strong and prosperous nation with healthy and civilized youth as its assets.

Roshan Lal Arya Ji and Captain Syal Ji addressed students from different classes during the week on the rich legacy of Arya Samaj, importance of Hawan and basic human values that form are an integral part of our lives.

Tableaux highlighting the scenes from the lives of Mahatma Hansraj and Swami Dayanand were captivating for one and all. Various activities like Group Discussions, Paper Reading, Poem Recitation and Poster Making Competition were also organised based on the themes of highlighting social evils like Corruption, Water Pollution, Female Literacy, Save Girl Child, Environmental Pollution, Ill effects of Mobiles and Say No To Plastic. Meditation Session organised as part of this programme helped the students to establish a connect with the Almighty.

The Soulful rendition of Bhajans by Chief Guest Arvind Ghai Ji and his wife soaked the audience in religiosity. The winners of various competitions received prizes from the hands of the chief guests to cherish these forever.

The Chief Guest in his address appreciated the endeavour of the school aimed at inculcating Vedic Values in the students for righteous living and promoting peace in the country.

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time to be present on the campus, congratulated one and all for successful conduct of the event and hoped that the generation next is empowered by such missions undertaken by the students.
