The School organised a Ved Prachar Saptah under the able guidance of Arya Ratan, Padam Shri Dr. Punam Suri, President DAVCAE, New Delhi and Arya Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab on the campus.

Vedas are ultimate wisdom and man can achieve salvation by following the path shown by vedas. DAV Institutions are dedicated to promotion of vedas in a bid to connect the students to the age old wisdom of vedas and make them learn modern scientific values. The campus was tastefully adorned in OM Flags and Shlokas to create the right ambience.

The week long celebrations started with special Hawan performed by Roshan Lal Araya Ji who gave detailed meaning of each Shloka to help the students know the farsightedness of our gurus. He stressed the significance of Hawan by saying that it not only purifies the environment but also ensures wisdom and spiritual knowledge which is must for holistic development of individuals.

A paper reading contest on the topics ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and ‘Say No to Plastic’ was also conducted where the students expressed their views to enlighten one and all so that each one can contribute for the creation of an upright society with highest moral values. The result of the contest is as follows:- 
(i)Sejal –First (ii) Harleen – Second (iii) Urvi Sood –Third

Besides, the students depicted scenes from Mahatma Hansraj’s and Swami Dayanand’s lives.

Principal Mrs. J.K Sidhu in her address explained that Arya means the best and the students of the DAV Institution have the duty to be the best in speech and action to be the role models for others. She appreciated the efforts put in by the staff and the students in providing befitting beginning that gave a glimpse of the activities to be carried out throughout the week.
