Formal education plays an important role in the life of a man and invoking the blessings of Almighty is of paramount importance when you are to start with the long journey of acquiring skills and gaining knowledge. School organized ‘Upnayan Ceremony’ (Initiation into knowledge) by performing a ‘Havan’ for the newly admitted PreKG students of the session 2019-20. The nicely dressed, active and smart toddlers beaming with enthusiasm participated in the sacred ritual with their parents.
The students sat through the ceremony perhaps understanding the sanctity of the occasion. The Havan Yajna was performed to pray to God to bless the youngsters at the threshold of a new beginning and keep them focused and make them tread on the righteous path. The parents on the occasion were given seed balls by the schools to carry the message of saving the environment and spreading the green cover to improve the quality of air we breathe.
Principal J.K. Sidhu extended a warm welcome to the parents and the toddlers and requested the parents to spend quality time with their kids to participate in their journey of life that is filled with wonder but is not always without challenges. She stressed on inculcating right value system in the students as support of parents builds a confident child who is righteous in his thought and action and so parents can play a significant role in building a sound society with morally upright individuals.
The parents were apprised of the policies of the school which need immediate attention and cooperation from the society:
- Saying no to plastic
- Water conservation
- No aluminium foils in the tiffin
- Promotion of vertical garden in todays’ space constrained world
The parents highly appreciated the endeavors of the school that are in sync with sustainable development goals of the 21st century. The Principal expressed hope that growing contribution of the parents will help school in fulfilling its social responsibility in a better way. The tiny tots had a gala time going round the school and having the swings in the play area.
