Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) had organised a State Level Science Model Making Competition on 16 November 2018 for the students of IX and X where in a team of two students namely Akshat Sharma (X) and Anish Kapoor (IX) of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana bagged the 1^st Position for their model on ‘Curbing Global Warming by Minimizing Green House Gases’. The team received a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- along with a trophy from the hands of the Chief Guest Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala.

A total of ­­­­­115 working and non-working models related to scientific concepts were presented by different schools from across the state. The judges of the event lauded the efforts of the students in showcasing their knowledge and creativity.

Principal J.K. Sidhu congratulated the students and appreciated their efforts in creating awareness regarding environmental protection.
