Young Artists Pull Great Crowds at Annual Art & Craft Exhibition ‘KALA SANGAM’

DAV BRS Nagar wore a festive look with an exquisite display of art and craft work of its students in the exhibition ‘KALA SANGAM’ organized to mark the festival of lights i.e. Diwali.
Principal Arya College, Ludhiana, Mrs. Savita Uppal was the chief guest on the occasion. She not only inaugurated the exhibition but also took a keen interest in the exhibits and enquired about the techniques and material used by the young creators in creating mesmerizing works of art like decorative candles and diyas, painted duppatas , herbal soaps, canvas paintings, purses, cushion covers, handkerchiefs to name a few.
Parents of the students were the special invitees who came in great numbers and were amazed to see the creativity galore. The students who sold their exhibits had a sense of satisfaction, achievement and accomplishment by creating and selling the products on their own. The entrepreneurial skills of the students attracted one and all and the products sold like hot cakes. The chief guest appreciated the fact that all the products on the display were made from the eco friendly material using the discarded stuff at home and school.
Principal J.K. Sidhu lauded the efforts of the students and the mentors for making the exhibition a great success. She encouraged the young artisans to start with their preparation for next Diwali to fine tune their own skills and earn more and more for personal satisfaction.
