Dussehra, that marks the triumph of virtue over vice, was celebrated in a unique way today in DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana.

The students of VI Std. collected confession slips from the Principal, teachers & the students of classes IV – XII where they penned down the short comings of their personality, their vices, their bad habits and put them in a box. Later on, the box containing the confessions slips along with the effigy of Ravana – A symbol of evil was consigned to flames by the Principal. Thus conveying that the evil ultimately comes to an end when a conscious effort is made, like writing it down & burning it.

Each one in the school welcomed this novel idea of celebrating Dussehra & participated whole heartedly. Principal J.K. Sidhu appreciated this unique endeavor of the children & advised them to invoke their positive energies, slay their demons, slaughter their ego & nurture their virtuosity in order to celebrate this festival in the real sense.
