Student council is an integral part of school system and the council members help the school administration in carrying forward the legacy of the school. A 22 member council of the school was inducted in a glittering ceremony.

Col. Harmanjit Singh, Sena Medal awardee and commanding officer of 3Pb. NCC Battalion was the Chief Guest. Col. J.S. Bali and Group Capt. A.C. Sethi were the Guests of Honour. The newly chosen Head Boy Aditya Grover (XII Commerce) and the Head Girl Kashish Mahajan (XII Non Medical) proudly carried the school flag followed by House Council members carrying their respective house flags to the stage to an audience of more than 1000 students, parents and teachers. Apart from them prefects from classes VI to X were also assigned duties for assisting in the smooth functioning of the school. The poise and grace of the council members gave a solemn promise of proper discharge of duties.

Col. Harmanjit Singh, administered the oath to the members and decorated them with sashes and badges. He asked them to serve their offices with honesty and dedication. In his speech the Chief Guest highlighted the fact that service to the alma mater is the first step of preparation to contribute towards the motherland. The Head Boy and the Head Girl in their speeches promised to maintain the dignity of position and be available to all.

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu congratulated all the elected members and hoped that they would prove themselves fit for the roles assigned to them. While thanking the Chief Guest she said that presence of a great son of the motherland on the occasion was enough to spark sense of service and devotion in the newly inducted members.
