6th February is celebrated world over as Safer Internet Day and in this era of technology it has become all the more important.
Keeping tab with the need of the time D.A.V. Public School, BRS Nagar gave top-tips to the students for safe internet use. Principal J.K. Sidhu acted as Resource Person of the workshop and apprised the students of the rules of safety and security on net. She showed a video to the students and encouraged them to be careful about their posts and be in control all the time.
In her address she asked the students to put all the bad sites out of the sight and to create, develop and maintain positive and valuable connections with friends and social groups. 260 students of classes VI-IX participated in the group activity and made posters, wrote slogans to create awareness on this issue. This workshop will create wise internet users who will be thinking critically before every post.
