In a remarkable achievement, Aadhya Gupta, a bright student of Class X from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, has secured an A+ grade and clinched the prestigious Second Prize in the World’s Biggest Value Education Contest based on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
This national-level contest was organized through the collaboration of ISKCON, IIT, and ISRO, providing an exceptional platform to school students across India to imbibe values and wisdom from the sacred Gita.
Adding a golden feather to her achievement, Aadhya was honoured with a Medal, a Certificate, and an Avon Bicycle as a reward for her outstanding performance. The grand prize distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. S. Somanath, the former Chairperson of ISRO, who personally awarded the medals to the young achievers.
As an additional privilege, Aadhya had the rare opportunity to visit the prestigious ISRO Data Analysing Centre on 24th April 2025. During her visit, she was briefed about the sophisticated technology used to receive signals from satellites located approximately 250 million kilometers away. She witnessed the 32-meter diameter antenna, weighing 400 tonnes, which rotates at a highly precise speed of 0.1 millimeter per second, and learned about the extreme conditions required to maintain transmitted signals at temperatures nearing minus 250 degrees Celsius.
Further enriching her experience, Aadhya observed a live demonstration model of a rocket launch and visited the Navigation Centre, where she saw the model of the historic Chandrayaan-3 mission.
Describing the visit as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Aadhya shared that her time at ISRO reminded her that with vision, perseverance, and innovation, even the sky is not the limit.
Principal, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu, congratulated Aadhya for her extraordinary accomplishment and appreciated her for bringing laurels to the school. She emphasized that such opportunities are crucial for inspiring young minds towards scientific innovation and value-based living. She motivated the students to look for opportunities to exhibit their knowledge and learning to carve a niche for themselves in this highly competitive world.
