Children are the best medium to apprise the parents and the society about the rules and regulations and to utilize this resource DAV Public School, BRS Nagar under the initiative of DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Company Limited organised Traffic Awareness Programme. The key speakers of this awareness programme were Mr. Gurpreeet Singh, Senior Constable and Mr. Jaspreet Singh, Head Constable from the Traffice Education Cell, Ludhiana. Mrs. Nisha Jalota, Development Relationship Manager at DHFL, Pramerica Life Insurance Co. Ltd. was also present during the session.

The speakers during the interaction with the students informed that the accident rate was the highest in India and so the Indians needed to handle this issue on the urgent basis. The rules of the road should not be limited to the classroom but should be used in the real life situations. Stressing on the need to wear branded helmets and wearing the seat belts the speaker apprised the students about the protection of the vital organs of the body. Do's and Dont's of road usage were explained through slides to the students. The students enthusiastically participated in the interactive session to display their awareness about the rules of the road.

While talking about the importance of time in saving precious human life the students were asked to give way to ambulances, fire brigades and police control vehicles. The speakers highlighted the importance of driving within limits and exercising caution to secure lives on the roads. The experts gave convincing replies to the queries of the students to help them to be crystal clear.

Principal, Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the speakers for their informative talk and assured that the DAVians will become the traffic rules ambassadors of Ludhiana to make the roads safer for one and all.
