Two Days Capacity Building Workshop on Classroom Management organised by CBSE, New Delhi

In the present era, it has become imperative for all the schools to provide holistic learning opportunities to give them quality education. Responding to this need, two days CBSE workshop on Classroom Management was organized in the school on 24-11-17 and 25-11-17. It was attended by nearly 45 teachers of various schools from all over Punjab.

The resource persons for the programme were Dr. Rakesh Sehgal - Academic Facilitator and Mrs. Rashmi Ahluwalia - Principal Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot.

This informative programme provided a platform to the teachers to adopt various effective techniques for classroom management. The resource persons effectively engaged the teachers in group activities and discussed common problems faced by teachers in managing classes. According to them classroom management includes effective discipline, being prepared for class, motivating students, being creative and imaginative and preparing students for future life. For effective classroom management, it is important for the teacher to be well versed with teaching methodology, to have proper skills and techniques for effective classroom management and to have positive approach. It was an interactive workshop where the teachers participated enthusiastically and sought answers to their queries from the experts.

“Teaching is a life long learning. Such re-skilling sessions go a long way in adding to the teacher’s arsenal of effective methodologies”, with these words, Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the delegates and the resource persons for registering their presence in the session and making it a success.
