The school was abuzz with activity today as the students celebrated ‘Green Diwali’. The students enthusiastically participated in various activities chalked out for them.
The day started with ‘Laxmi Poojan’ by tiny-tots. The students of kindergarten, Ist and IInd classes displayed their creativity in ‘Candle-decoration’, ‘Diya-decoration’ and ‘Card-making’. The students of classes IIIrd to Vth made posters on ‘Green Diwali’ and an Inter-House poster making competition on the topic ‘Cleanliness’ was organized for the classes VIth and VIIth. The students of classes IXth and Xth showed their excellence in ‘Rangoli-making’.
The student council of the school accompanied by the principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu took up the cleaning of Kartar Singh Sarabha’s statue in Feroze Gandhi market. It was a treat to the eyes and satisfaction to the mind to see the wonderful work done by the children.
Appreciating the endeavour made by the children, The Principal of the school Mrs. J.K. Sidhu said that it is the need of the hour to ponder over the ways to preserve our environment and we can do our bit in this direction by celebrating ‘Green Diwali’.
