At the initiative of Regional Training Centre Jalandhar, a one-day Capacity Building Programme in Physics was conducted at school on 1st August, 2015.
Twenty four senior secondary teachers from DAV Schools across the region attended the session. The training programme aimed at discussing the question paper design, handling the paradigm shift towards application based questions, common errors committed by students and their remedial measures.
The delegates participated whole heartedly as Mrs. J.K.Sidhu, Master Trainer and host Principal conducted the interactive session, interspersed with activities. “Our effective teaching practices are akin to convex lens that makes the rays of education converge”, opined Mrs. J.K.Sidhu.
Co-trainer, Mr. Ashish Kapoor’s adept handling of queries left the delegates asking for more. “Tricky concepts can be drummed into the student’s mind, if the lectures carry a punch and are delivered with panache” shared Mr. Ashish.
The workshop bore the testimony to the fact that bridging the dichotomy between teaching and learning on the part of teachers can make students transcend academic barriers with ease.
“Teaching is a lifelong learning. Such re-skilling sessions go a long way in adding to the teacher’s arsenal of effective methodologies”, with these words Mrs. Sidhu thanked the delegates for registering their presence in the session and making it a success.
