A Story Telling workshop was conducted for the Primary teachers in the school today.
Ms. Shikha Sood who has been conducting such workshops for the past 13 years was the resource person. She is the Resource Consultant for Scholastic India Ltd.
The teachers learnt many innovative methods of story telling which would help them to make classroom teaching more interesting. The methods suggested by the resource person for increasing the attention span of the students was very helpful for the teachers. Many new methods for polishing the reading, writing and listening skills of the students were suggested by Ms. Shikha Sood. The session was very interactive and enjoyed by all the teachers as they had equipped themselves with a plethora of new teaching techniques.
A workshop on "Classroom Management Skills" was also conducted in the school today by Ms. Shikha Sood. In a very inspiring tone, she discussed the role of a teacher in the present scenario. She gave valuable tips on how to manage the classroom in an effective manner. She exhorted the teachers to make the basics very clear to the students in order to make them successful in their lives. She stressed upon the importance of time management and discipline among the children.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. J.K.Sidhu thanked the guest of the day and said that this workshop would go a long way in helping the teachers to manage their class-rooms more efficiently and effectively.
