School is celebrating its 40th year of inception and to make the celebration an enriching experience, a lecture series titled 'Express, Elevate, Empower- DAV TALKS 'is being organised.

Dr. Omesh Goyal, a leading gastroenterologist of Ludhiana and an illustrous alumnus of the school, was the speaker of this lecture series today. He enlightened the students about a doctor’s professional journey and various aspects of health and hygiene etiquettes that will together promote good health of a person. Dr. Goyal apprised the students about their responsibility for their well-being through the tagline “We are what we eat”. He emphasized the fact that the child's mental and physical development is closely linked to good nutrition, and healthy eating habits affect children’s behaviour and growth. Sharing factors leading to obesity and its consequences, he urged the students to engage in physical activity in their daily routine for their own well being in the long run.

While answering the queries of students, he implored upon each one of them that hard work is the only way to succeed in life. He also stressed that medical profession though challenging is one of the noblest professions and the satisfaction that one derives after performing service to humanity is priceless.

Principal J. K. Sidhu thanked Dr. Omesh Goyal for his encouraging address and added that the tips shared by Dr. Goyal would inspire the students to attain their goals while remaining fit and healthy.
